52°/68°  7.11/5.50
Up at 7.30 and turned heat on.  Had breakfast and read paper.
Partly cloudy in morning.  Clouded up by noon.
Wrote to Carl and then watched T.V.  Still cool at noon.  and cloudy.
At 1.00 we left for Ida Halls and sat talking with her for a while, had a drink and dug up a lot of amaryllis bulbs.
Then went to Lees but only Barbara was home.
Then went to Hilda’s home, talked with her for a while, had coffee, then left for the “Ace Cement Co., but they were closed, so went home and had supper, watched T.V. and went to bed after hearing Eisenhower’s farewell speech.
Tillie got to bed at 11.45.  She had been sitting up, watching T.V. and working on her pineapple hot pads.  She is making colored ones now.  It takes 15 hours to make one.
