This blog shares the journals of my great-grandfather Nelson Hjalmar Lindgren (b. 14 Oct 1884 Sweden d. 3 Mar 1976 E. Prov, RI). These writings give a window into a fascinating man and give the story of a remarkable life of a first generation Swedish-American. The daily entries of Nil's journals from 50 years ago will give our family a greater connection to our past.

Up at 8.30 and Bruce was out and painting the garage. After breakfast Bruce cut the grass and I cut Mrs. Malls grass. Tillie trimmed flowers and I helped her.
Took a ride downtown with Wanda and Ray to have a suit cleaned.
Wanda got everything ready for a hot dog roast at the farm but at 5.00 it began to rain, so we had it on the porch. It turned cool so watched T.V. in evening.
A shower and to bed at 11.30.
